after a wonderful farewell breakfast at lazy jane’s with my dear visiting friends (yum!), i waved goodbye as they drove on to their next travel adventures. then, i called my friends who just had a baby this weekend and went for a visit in the hospital. i ended up staying a bit longer than i’d intended just because we were having such a great, relaxed conversation and i had the day off anyway, so what the heck, why not? she’s a very pretty little sister (her big sister was off with the grandparents)… maybe i’ll have some photos up later this week. in the meantime, here are some photos i took of the other new baby in our group of friends who was born about three weeks ago.
i also tried out a new bagel shop in town called “gotham”–yummy bagel! i have to say, though, that my favorite discovery at the shop was pineapple mint juice. brilliant! i’m pretty sure it was made with real, fresh pineapple and mint leaves. very refreshing. i’m looking forward to getting another bagel there–maybe next weekend. or… maybe on friday….
i love days off with no big agenda.
